@cocoperth Yeah im Australian.. I’ll definately check out his music, but i wouldnt touch itunes or anything ‘i’ if you paid me..
@maybeme8 he’s in it well and truly! just didn’t want the big label side of it, and has stayed indie by choice. Are you in Australia? it would be worthwhile checking out itunes late May, for some new music he’s releasing then!

@cocoperth A garunteed album is only for the winner, but come on.. anyone along the way that has talent will most likely get picked up after the show ends..look at shannon knoll, rickie lee, anthony calea and if not an album, someone along the line is going to get in the entertainment business somewhere.. like milsy, or axle whitehead..

and btw i think that matt corby is a fairly generic pop singer HOWEVER he writes his own songs
makes him extremely talented in my eyes, more than I can say for many artist who are currently sitting in the Top 10.
And jokes on you anyway Caitish. His album is coming out soon. It’s very Indie (my fave lol) and sounds quite original, so it is just as awesome (if not, more) than the stuff he did on idol. … except he cut his hair =[

Less sales doesn’t make someone less talented. People just may not like their style of music. Opera singers have amazing unique voices but people prefer to listen to the same rubbish that’s on the top hits all the time. And then the people on Idol etc. imitate these “pop” singers. So we get more of them. It’s a vicious cycle. Then, as soon as a unique/interesting voice comes on, they’re bood off. Why? Because they don’t sound like the generic pop that America tends to produce en mass.

Just b/c someone doesn’t like the same artist you do, or appreciate a performance that you do does not mean they are tone deaf, or that they should “STFU”. Opinion’s are like butt’s everyone has one. You should be more respectful. She was just saying she doesn’t enjoy Matt’s singing, and that to her this performance was bad. So what…if you like it then say “I disagree with you I like it and find it quite entertaining.” No need to get in a fight about it!
You need to get your facts straight… simply, an album deal is for the winner only in Austalia… And of course he has had offers..but is taking his time, and at 17 has plenty of that!! When ready an album will be out…just because his album isn’t out 5 minutes after Idol ends, doesn’t mean it won’t be happening at all….
Just because I don’t think someone is good does not mean I’m going deaf. My opinion is that he blows, u disagree – big whoop. I won’t even attempt to diginify that reply with a response.

I’m not saying the whole serie sucks, I just mean this dude and his season. I was really dissapointed at the show that year – I watched half of that season and some dude who was surprisngly worse than this one came 4th – I mean come on. It’s a singing show – not America’s Next Top Model. And some of the performances on this season even make Kristy Lee Cook look awesome.
You’re not telling me you actually think this is good? Like I said before, previous Seasons I’ve watched have been good but this particular one, with this particular guy really blows. The ratings have apparently gone down and I’m not surprised. And more than 189 million people worldwide “give a fuck” about American Idol. And shouldn’t runner ups get some sort of album too? Where’s his? The guy who came 3rd even got 1.And the sales apprently sucked for this season’s too…:P

Obviosuly you haven’t heard a lot of “amazing voices,” I just can’t believe the talent in this country has sunk so low…. yeah Guy was good, as was Anthony Callea, then it all goes downhill. I LIVE in the USA and thought, hey Australia must have good singers like us, old Keithy came from there. MAN was a disapointed. You must be tone deaf if you thought that performance was good. i think that Matt has one of the most unique and amazing voises i’ve ever heard. Stupid production line perfect voices have no soul. Not baging out american idol because kelly clarkson and fantastia are great but Matt is pretty unique and that sells
